EKP-1S-03M is the latest upgrade of the original Kobra sight, versions of which have been used for years by special forces operating in Chechnya on the AK-74M. Using standard AA batteries, the -03M is an active electronic device designed for fast acquisition of both static and moving targets. EKP-1S-03M offers weatherized controls providing 4 improved, crisp reticle patterns (changed at the push of a button), and 16 brightness variations via a rocker arm switch. The -03M is lightweight, low profile, and provides the most rock solid mounting platform of all versions of AK Kobra sights. We feel it is the best value for the money.
EKP-1S-03M is shipped to you with full factory accessories (in original packaging), to include new high quality batteries, rubber hood ("sun shield"), special adjusting tool, cleaning cloth, and English manual, all packed into an improved ballistic nylon belt carried field case in various original Russian camouflage patterns. These sights are unmarked as to importer, and are Russian domestic production.
These Kobra sights will fit all forms of European AK side mounting plates. This would include those of Russian Saiga (and Saiga based models to include "AK-103"), Vepr, SVD/Tigr, and all versions of Romanian AK to include SAR/Romak/WUM type rifles. It will basically fit any Russian-based side mounted optical base we know to exist. In the event you do not have an optics side plate on your rifle, we also carry Russian designed installation kits, sold separately. This plate will allow you to apply Kobra sights to any model of stamped or milled receiver Kalashnikov AK. Buy any of our sights, and the side plate is sold at a discount.
Compared to most conventional optical aids, the Kobra combat sight is probably the best choice for the money. It most closely matches the performance, range, and primary strengths of the Kalashnikov rifle. It has the ability to make the shooter more effective as a small arms operator by enabling him to acquire targets more rapidly, aim without the need to align sights, and pay more attention to the surrounding field of view while keeping both eyes open. We have found that most people who have tried the sight are extremely happy with it, and have become more accurate and enjoy using it over the iron sights.

This Generation II Russian Kobra combat sight is currently in use by a small number of specialized forces of the Russian Federation. EPK-8 Kobra is an active electronic device, designed for fast acquisition of both static and moving targets. Newly developed using feedback gained on the Chechen battlefields, this version is improved in many ways to offer better performance and ergonomics. We are happy to offer these for sale to the public.
This Kobra model fits the side mounting plate of AK rifles to include Romanian Romak/SAR series, Russian Saiga based models (i.e. AK-103), Vepr I and II, Bulgarian SA-M7, MTK-75, MPK, etc., and is shipped to you (in original factory packaging) with new coin cell battery, special adjusting tool, cleaning cloth, manual and carrying case. EKP-8 uses an inexpensive, standard 3V lithium (CR series) calculator battery which enables improved operation in extremely low temperature environments.
 
EKP-8-02 now features subdued color reticle adjusting control wheels with sure-grip ribbing.
Sight offers 4 reticle patterns (changed at the push of a button), and 16 brightness variations via a rocker arm switch. Sight and accessories are now supplied with a newly improved ballistic nylon belt carried field case in either MVD Taiga (center) or Russian Woodland (right) camouflage patterns. EKP-8-14 (WEAVER BASE MOUNTING VERSION W/THUMBSCREWS)
JUST ARRIVED! Factory new Russian Kobra sights designed for the popular Weaver base mounting system. These are very popular for use with AR15 and FAL rifles. Kobra is shipped to you with full accessories (in original factory packing), to include new high quality coin type battery, special adjusting tool, cleaning cloth, and manual. This model uses one standard 3V calculator battery, commonly available in the US. It has 4 improved reticle patterns, and includes a ballistic nylon belt carried field case available in Taiga, MVD woodland or Army VSR camouflage patterns. These will fit all forms of Weaver and Tasco top mounting dovetails, and includes mounting thumb screws and clamping bracket. Extra batteries are available.
EKP-8-15 (WEAVER BASE MOUNTING VERSION w/QD THROW LEVER)
Same features as above, this Kobra uses a fast quick detach style throw lever for ease in removal and installation. This Weaver mounting Russian combat sight includes full accessories and is shipped factory new in a ballistic nylon belt carried field case available in original MVD woodland camouflage patterns. These will fit all forms of Weaver and Tasco style notched mounting rails.
 
Shown above with optional AR-15 Weaver style top carry handle mount, the EKP-8-14 (top) and EKP-8-15 (bottom) differ only in the attaching method. Gold iridium coated lenses shield HUD (heads up display) laser light from reaching the target and compromising users' position. Controls and laser exit port are fully weatherized for all-weather use.
We now offer the AR-15/M-16 Weaver style combat rail, used to attach the Kobra sight to standard carry handle models of these rifles. Made from anodized aluminum, these high quality mounts are used by US Forces to enable the use of many types of optical aids on the M16 service rifle.

The first thing that must be done after receiving a new optic for any rifle, is the attachment clamp adjustment to ensure a rock tight fit to any side plate design. In many cases, there are variations in rails, and these must be taken into consideration by the optic mounting clamp design. Please study this link and make adjustments as necessary until you have a satisfactory fit to your rifle. In all cases, our Russian scopes and sights are fully adjustable to be perfectly fitted to any European side rails based on the Soviet designs.
