PK-01A is a high quality Russian Kalashnikov-specific collimating red dot sight complex, designed from the start to be used on both 7,62x39 and 5,45x39mm AK rifles and derivatives. It delivers a crisp 1.5 MOA red dot, and features a weatherized tubular body, fully coated lenses, 1x power, precise scope style elevation and windage turret adjustment knobs, a rugged "over-the-bore" positioning bracket with unique 30mm removable rail-grabber style rings and an advanced automatic reticle brightness control system. PK-01 mounts low and directly over the centerline of the rifle, providing an amazingly comfortable shooting stance on all models with a unrivaled cheek weld. This 1X power parallax free optic allows modern "Both-Eyes-Open" shooting for fast target acquisition with the elimination of eye strain associated with older designs that force the shooter to align sights.

PK-01 was developed primarily for use with AK-74, RPK-74, AK/AKM, and RPK rifles. The included laminated range card describes in detailed illustrations the ballistic data applicable to various Kalashnikov military weapons applications.

The entire PK-01 sight system is fully assembled with all factory accessories, which includes a removable screw-on metal anti-flash hood, dual rubber lens covers, cleaning cloth, manual, laminated ballistic range card, two high quality "357" watch cell batteries, and a well made padded nylon camouflage belt carried field case with adjustable nylon strap.

PK-01 uses modern light metering photocell technology to automatically adjust the brightness of the reticle, for perfect viewing at all times, no matter what the external lighting conditions may be. This sight is comparable to many Western red dot types costing much more.
